I rode it for commuting for about eight months.
After purchasing the car in September 2025 last year, I had a regular checkup and took good care of it.
(Two-tire replacement, spare tire O, transmission oil and engine oil change O, etc.)
Of course, it's a non-smoking & accident-free vehicle.
When you come for inspection, you can accompany a mechanic or, if you pay for it, you can have the inspection done by a nearby mechanic with a car away.
I'll honestly share all the pros and cons I've felt after riding for about eight months.
Advantages:
- As a sedan, it's convenient while driving, especially when parked.
- Despite being a sedan, the trunk is quite spacious, so two 28-inch suitcases are no problem.
- With top-spec features, there are heated and ventilated seats of similar year, especially those rarely seen in Australia.
- Rear camera operation, Bluetooth, cruise control available
- As a diesel vehicle, it helps save on fuel costs during long-distance driving.
- As of writing, about 100 days left for Rego and car insurance—if you buy a Rego or car (if you have a major engine or transmission breakdown, you can get repairs from any mechanic up to $10,000) is about 150 days left.
- The last fueled premium diesel is filled
Disadvantages:
- Smart Cruise X
- Apple CarPlay X -> If needed, I will provide a $150 vehicle monitor you currently use.
- (Driver's side) There is a scratch about 20cm long under the headlamp.
- If you own one car key > purchase, you can copy one smart key, or, if you want the cheapest option, we will discount the cost of copying.
- One side of the daylight (the daylight lights up during daytime driving, which doesn't affect driving), a chronic issue of the i40, is broken - > repairs are planned. Chronic issues are actually a concern
- Due to the nature of used cars, there are minor scratches on the wheels and vehicle - > Of course, when you take it, we will wash both the inside and outside to make it look neat and clean.
Since I'm returning to Korea, I sell it at the lowest possible price. Since it's my first time here, I spent a lot of time and worry about buying a car. If you're coming to work holidays, if you don't have enough money, you'd want a good car that is as cheap as possible and won't break down, and this car will surely solve that problem.
